The son of a diplomat and raised across multiple countries, Stefan Swanepoel immigrated to the United States in 1994. With a global perspective, an inquisitive mind and a talent for separating the signal from the noise with remarkable speed, he began researching the residential real estate industry, identifying strategic shortcomings and recognizing future trends long before they became widely apparent.

Sixty-five books, reports and studies later, he has become synonymous with trend forecasting, industry analysis and rankings that identify success and leadership within residential real estate. His Swanepoel Trends Report has become the gold standard for industry analysis, while the DANGER Report is the industry’s most iconic strategic introspective study ever.

His consulting company, T3 Sixty, grew into one of the most respected management consulting and research firms in residential real estate, while his latest venture, Real Estate News, rapidly became one of the largest and most influential sources of real estate business news and information nationwide.

For five decades, Stefan Swanepoel has helped the residential real estate industry understand itself. Since 2005, the annual Swanepoel Trends Report has provided strategic insight into the forces shaping the future of real estate. Since 2013, the Swanepoel Power 200 has become the industry’s definitive ranking of leadership and influence. The Real Estate Almanac expanded that work by creating the most comprehensive benchmarking of brokerages, franchises, MLSs, associations and technology companies in the business.

Beyond the research, rankings and analysis, Swanepoel’s lasting contribution is the framework he created for the industry to evaluate itself. Few individuals have influenced how an entire industry measures itself. Giving Back

While best known for his work in business and real estate, Stefan’s fondest contributions may be found closer to home. As President of North Shore Give on Kauaʻi’s North Shore, he helped lead efforts that strengthen healthcare, education and community resilience. From funding essential medical equipment through the Gift of Health Campaign to supporting Namahana School, the community’s first tuition-free middle and high school, the focus remains the same: creating opportunities that improve lives.

The drive to be useful to a community and make a difference comes instinctively to Stefan and has been there since long before any of his businesses—and remains one of his most enduring qualities.
